Barbara grew up in a litter of five, and each of her siblings was born in a different state. Moving around so frequently, she learned early on how to entertain herself with stories. As an adult, she has lived on a commune in the Appalachians, taught on an Indian reservation, and traveled from coast to coast. When her own children came along, Ms. Longley decided to try something new—staying put. She has made Minnesota her home ever since.
By day, Barbara teaches young children how to read. She holds a Masters in Education, and has taught elementary education for many years. By night, she likes to explore things mythical, metaphysical, and paranormal. Much of what she learns makes its way into her stories, where all things are possible. While she loves teaching, reading and writing are her passions.

I have been trying to find you for some time now. I can’t remember how to get to your house in north St. Paul and I have long since lost your phone number. Misty is still in my hiouse in Bloomington and I am up on the White Earth Rez. This has got to be you and you are going by your first married name, which makes sense.

To answer the last of your twitter questions, in unsent-tweet form:
Barbara, I grew up in several places in west Texas before coming to Austin to get my BSEE. Then FLA, CA (S&N), and a bad time in CO…

BSEE? S&N? K. Florida and California and a bad time in Colorado I got. BSEE? Bachelor of Science El. Ed.? See, since I’m in Ed, my mind goes there.
S&N – no clue SanFran, and Nappa? Ah, well. Too tired to decode this evening. I’ve been to Dallas, but that’s it. I’d love to write a Western someday, and maybe I’ll have Wild Bill in the story somehow. Going to bed now.

I think we have this cleared up. coolbands.com wasn’t available. Nor was the @. I confused myself… I should fwd all to 1.
The pawn shop thing isn’t a big deal to me. I bought an iPad2, a mac mini, and software, depleting funds is not a surprise!

I have no idea what the reference to a pawn shop is about. Maybe you have me confused with another Longley?
